The incumbent of this position is responsible for ensuring the continuous flow of production to meet planned output while identifying and escalating issues and improvements and determining the sequence of work in the operation through people and processes.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:· Understand, promote, and model Andersen’s Values, Andersen-Strathroyoperational procedures/policies, the Employee Handbook, and Quality &Environmental; programs· Responsible for the day-to-day direction and support of the manufacturingT1 team members· Establish and maintain respectful communication and relationships withother team members and encourage teamwork with other departments· Coach, train, and support employees within the value stream. Ensure thatemployees are trained, qualified, and capable of performing their assignedwork· Lead shift start-up and stand-down meetings· Lead the resolution of complex problems within work area· Ensure daily inspections are completed and conduct planned inspectionaudits on each shift· Maintain T1 boards with relevant and current information/data· Instruct and organize the department workforce for required dailyactivities· Participates when required to investigate all non-conformance toCompany polices/procedures/rules/regulations and provides theSupervisor with information and documentation for corrective action· Ensures their team members comply with quality guidelines and followquality control plans· Ensure team members follow Standard Operating Procedures (StandardWork) established for each workstation· Actively engage in continuous improvement efforts, utilizing all LeanManufacturing (AMS) tools provided· Maintain and improve workplace organization by following definedhousekeeping and organization expectations; support and participate in 5-S process· Required to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance withthe OHSA. Audit daily for potential hazards in the workplace· Proficiently perform all jobs within a designated area and demonstrate awillingness to rotate and cross-train in other areas to maintain flexibilityand adaptability· Continually monitor quality, breakdowns,



or problems on a day-to-daybasis to ensure production targets are met· Ensure that all work-in-process and any/all product is correctly identifiedand dispositioned· Ensures fairness to direct reports, and encourages and participates in theopen-door resolution process for employee relation issues· Provides input into the Performance Reviews of peers· Meet quality expectations by producing acceptable parts, recording scrap,documenting quality checks, identifying non-conforming and cull materialreporting, and following proper processes to disposition them· Maintain proper documentation for production and equipment· Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed bysupervision or managementQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:· Solid knowledge of Andersen-Strathroy (KML) products and processes.Previous Assembly/Supply experience in manufacturing processes anasset· Conducts themselves in a professional manner when receiving orproviding feedback/information, whether it is positive or constructive· Able to maintain confidentiality, and use discretion and tact· Basic working knowledge of computer functions and keyboarding· Possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills· Robust communication skills (written and verbal) & able to takeinstruction/direction well· Demonstrates a sense of urgency to complete work on schedule & able towork effectively under pressure· Demonstrates a positive attitude with the ability to interact effectively withother departments and management· Approaches each day and each challenge with a positive attitude· Must have the ability to work flexible shifts and/or additional hours inorder to meet customer and timeline requirementsWage Range: $28.82 - $33.74, plus shift premium.Shift: 4:00pm to 2:30am, Monday to ThursdayThis is an existing position.AI is used when confirming receipt of application, notifying the candidate when the resume is being reviewed, assisting in the scheduling of interviews and to respond to candidates if they are not moving forward in the recruitment process.In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and the Ontario Human Rights Code, KML Windows Inc. will provide accommodation to applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment, selection and/or assessment process.
