Department: Diagnostic ImagingUnder the direction of the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the Diagnostic Imaging Clerk provides clerical and administrative support in a fast-paced Radiology department. Responsibilities include registering and welcoming patients, maintaining accurate data in admissions and radiology systems, scheduling appointments, and managing a high volume of daily registrations. The clerk responds to telephone inquiries from physicians, patients, hospital departments, and external facilities, prepares and distributes diagnostic requests, and performs general office duties such as filing and mail distribution, ensuring efficient workflow and data integrity within the department.QUALIFICATIONSGraduate of a Community College in the Medical Office Administration Program or equivalent requiredKnowledge of Medical Terminology requiredKeyboarding (45 wpm/95% accuracy) and Data Entry (6200 kph/95% accuracy) skills requiredWorking knowledge of Meditech requiredWorking knowledge of iSite PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)is an assetExcellent filing skills requiredPrevious experience in Radiology is an assetWorking knowledge of computerized systems requiredGood attendance and work record requiredMust be available for scheduled shiftsMust demonstrate commitment to ensure their safety,
