We are currently seeking a Journeyman Crane Operator / Class 1 Driver to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB. This is a night shift, 5:00pm-3:00am M-TPropak also offers a competitive compensation and advantages package including a company matched group RRSP. If you are a looking to grow with a company who values work-life balance this may be the position for you.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials.Drive the crane to the job site.Rig the machine up (pin the boom and pendant cables and pull the hoist cable in preparation for operation).Set up the machine for the lift (make it level and stable) using blocking and leveling materials.Booms (including telescoping booms and articulating booms possessing live lines) capable of swinging, hoisting and booming up and down with a lifting capacity of greater than 5 tons (4.5 tonnes) and less than 45 tons (40.8 tons).Service and operate travelling, fixed or climbing type hoisting equipment with a vertical mast or tower and a jib.Perform pre-operational inspection,



and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting.Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes.Complete daily material transfers between the separate Propak locations as required by the 404 YardOperate equipment at any of the Propak locations based on work load and requirementsEnsure all internal BOL's are delivered, signed for and accurately completedWork closely with Administrative staff to ensure transfers and completed in a timely mannerOther duties as assigned by the CoordinatorIndependence / Supervision Received: IntroductoryLoad, haul, and deliver materials such as pipe and heavy equipmentApply tire chains when required, as per DFI's safe work proceduresMaintain a legal driver's logbook Geo tabQualificationsHold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate, or a recognized trade certificate or equivalency document.Alberta Class 1 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract is requiredInter-Provincial Red Seal Certificate is preferred.1-2 years of directly related work experience.As a condition of employment, employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.Propak Systems Ltd. thanks all applicants for their interest however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
