The essential function of this position is to assist in the execution of the day to day purchasing activities and support the implementation of strategic initiatives.Values:To perform the job successfully, the incumbent's behavior must be consistent with the PRIDE values expected of all Mastronardi Produce employees: be Passionate; have Respect; be Innovative; be Driven and strive for Excellence.Primary Responsibilities:Follow up with suppliers to ensure on time delivery through daily expediting, including ERP system dates and communication with the Purchasing teamProcure materials and finished goods as assigned for customer deliverable products in accordance with quality and engineering specsWork to budget or cost targets and identify any discrepanciesResolve supplier non-conformances and recover costs from suppliers for reworkResolve discrepancies between purchase orders and invoicesPerform inventory analysis and management, avoiding low stock,



overstock and obsolete inventoryAnalyze root causes of inventory issues and provide resolutionsCollaborate with other departments to reduce excess inventoryCoordinate with Sales and Marketing to develop demand requirements for events, promotions, shows, campaigns, product launches and stocking ordersEstablish and implement supplier guidelines, obligations and service levels for the departmentSupport and contribute to the company Lean effortsSupport the collection of data and implementation of MPL procurement initiativesDefine and maintain policies and procedures for the departmentProvide support to the Purchasing departmentKeep all company information confidentialFollow all company rules and regulations at all timesOther duties as assignedUniversity degree in Finance, Business Administration requiredAt least two years of purchasing experienceSpecific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities RequiredDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environmentStrong forecasting and budgeting skillsProven abilities in multi-tasking, attention to detail, self-motivation and team environmentsExceptional communication skills, both written and verbalProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and OfficeSpanish-speaking an assetWorking Conditions:Working conditions are normal for an office environmentUse of company computer and phonePlease note: Mastronardi Produce has accommodation processes and policies in place and provides accommodation for employees with disabilities.
