In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring accurate energy measurement for thousands of customers by installing, testing, and repairing advanced metering systems. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor - Technical Services, you'll work hands-on with cutting-edge equipment and contribute to reliable service across Greater Sudbury.The successful candidate will:Install, remove,



and verify polyphase and single-phase metersPerform meter calibrations, repairs, and adjustmentsConduct power factor analysis and cross-reading verificationRespond to customer metering layout requestsComplete documentation and terminal input as requiredCheck customer's voltage and install current and voltage recorders as requiredAssist with load surveys which include removal of tapes, services, install or replace faulty recordersInvestigate diversion of powerCarry out transformer checksSeeking the following qualifications:Minimum 2 years at college level in electrical or instrumentationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSome knowledge and understanding of meter methods of communication such as: cellular / Fibre/TCP IP / RS232 and RadioSome understanding of Utility's revenue metering systemValid class G driver's license as job duties require frequent field workTeam oriented with a positive attitudeGSU is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing a recruitment process that respects the dignity and independence of all candidates.
