We are a high energy business focused team, providing the highest possible customer experience, with best-in-class engineering support.About The RoleThe Accounting Assistant is an entry-level accounting role that will provide support to Charter's head-office, with accounting and administrative duties. The role provides support for the day-to-day accounting activities, participating in a variety of tasks as needed, with an initial focus on Receivables. This role's contributions will support efficient accounts receivable management and timely cash flow. In addition, the Accounting Assistant role will help our accounting team stay organized and efficient by completing general administrative duties.ResponsibilitiesSupports healthy cash flow by aiding in timely and accurate accounts receivable activitiesContributes to timely cash realization and accurate receivables information in support of business operations and financial objectives.High accuracy level of information input into accounting programMaintains accurate and up to date customer account records,
and identifies issues for resolutionTimeliness in completing tasks and ensuring records are maintained in accordance with established processes and standardsProvides responsive and qualified communication to support the timely and effective resolution of accounts receivable mattersBuilds and maintains effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customersSupports team effectiveness by contributing to the organization, coordination, and continuity of accounting processes and activitiesRequired Qualifications And ExperienceCompletion of a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Accounting, Business Administration (Accounting), Bookkeeping, Finance, or a related field preferred. A combination of relevant education and experience may be consideredExperience with Sage 50 an assetKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMS Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word at an intermediate level; able to quickly learn programs and adapt as neededOpen to change and willing to take on new tasks as neededAdept at problem solvingExcellent communication skills (both verbal and written)Superior attention to detail and strives for accuracyAbility to work in fast-paced situations and meet deadlinesWillingness to ask questions and a drive to learnAbility to work independently and prioritize own workloads efficientlyStrong interpersonal skills; team player with the ability to deliver outstanding product/service and build relationships with coworkers, vendors, and customersComfortable with foreign currency transactions and applying foreign exchange ratesWorking ConditionsIn-office position to startOvertime as required#J-18808-Ljbffr
