ABOUT THE ROLEAs Staff Accountant, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of Molecular You, a precision health company at the intersection of molecular biology, data science, and personalized medicine. You will work closely with the Assistant Controller and cross-functional teams, contributing to core accounting functions while gaining hands-on experience with ERP systems and R&D financial reporting.This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to build foundational accounting skills in a technology-forward, research-oriented setting.RESPONSIBILITIESCore Accounting FunctionsAccounts Payable (AP): Manage the full AP cycle, including data entry, payment processing in NetSuite, and vendor communicationAccounts Receivable (AR) and Revenue Recognition: Collaborate with the operations team to invoice customers, ensuring accurate tracking of COGS and invoicing proceduresPayroll Processing: Process payroll and journal entries and reconcile benefit payments in compliance with Canadian employment and tax requirements using QuickBooks Payroll and BambooHRExpense Management: Manage employee expense reimbursements within AP payment runs and oversee company credit card transactions including validation, coding, and reconciliationBanking and Payments: Prepare and upload electronic AP batch payments (ACH and EFT) for approval and initiate cash transfers to the operating accountReconciliations and Month-End Close: Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and support monthly financial close procedures in NetSuiteYear-End and Audit Support: Compile documentation and support year-end financial reviews and auditsAccounting Inbox:
