As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer I here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will support production operations, equipment commissioning, process development, and continuous improvement initiatives in brazing processes. The successful candidate will possess a technical understanding of brazing and related manufacturing processes, combined with a practical, hands‑on approach to problem solving in a production environment.You will report directly to ourAdvanced Manufacturing Engineer Manager and you’ll work out of our Cambridge, ON location.This role will work closely with Operations, Quality, Design Engineering, and Maintenance teams to support process troubleshooting, drive productivity and quality improvements, develop manufacturing documentation, and ensure compliance with engineering and customer requirements. Responsibilities will also include supporting the introduction of new equipment and technologies, validating manufacturing processes, training production personnel, and leading efforts to improve safety, efficiency, and product quality.The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, team-oriented, and comfortable spending significant time on the manufacturing floor, working directly with operators and equipment to identify opportunities, resolve technical issues, and implement sustainable process improvements.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesDip Brazing Process OwnershipServe as the subject matter expert (SME) for aluminum dip brazing processes, including fluxing, furnace operation, and post‑braze handlingDefine, optimize, and maintain brazing parameters to ensure consistent quality, throughput, and metallurgical integrityTroubleshoot brazing defects (e.G., voids, leaks, distortion, incomplete braze, oxidation)Equipment Setup & CommissioningLead or support equipment installation, setup, commissioning,



and validation of dip brazing furnaces and associated systemsCollaborate with equipment vendors, maintenance, and controls teams during startup and modificationsSpecify tooling, fixturing, and auxiliary equipment to support stable brazing operationsEstablish and maintain equipment parameter limits, alarm strategies, and preventive maintenance requirementsProcess Documentation & StandardsCreate and maintain process documentation, including:Standard work instructions and routingsProcess flow diagrams and standard operating proceduresControl plans and PFMEAsEnsure documentation complies with AS9100, customer specifications, and internal change‑control requirementsTrain production and maintenance personnel on documented processes and standardsManufacturing Support & Continuous ImprovementProvide daily engineering support to production‑related issuesDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost, safety, and efficiencySupport new product introductions (NPI) with DFMEA/PFMEA input, process development, and pilot buildsPartner with Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to resolve cross‑functional issuesQualificationsThe Honeywell Aerospace building is a controlled goods program environment.
