The Special Education Resource Teacher is required to perform a range of duties including but not limited to planning, developing, delivering and evaluating appropriate individualized educational services for students with special education needs.Salary:up to $120,369 based on education and experienceQualifications:OCT qualified teacherUniversity degree in Special Education or S.E.R.T. certifiedExperience in supporting a school special education programExperience in diagnosing and assessing learning disordersProven effective classroom and student behavior management skillsKnowledge of current special education practices and methodologiesKnowledge and understanding of Provincial, local, and federal regulations and policies affecting special educationFamiliarity with Ministry of Education documents (e.G., Growing Success)Working knowledge of educational technology applicationsStrong technology skillsAbility to travel extensively to remote fly-in First Nations throughout the school year
