Locally owned and entrepreneurial at its core, the company combines the stability of a long-established real estate platform with genuine growth ambitions and an increasingly complex investment and corporate structure.They are looking for a CPA-designated Senior Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team.This is not simply a month-end accounting role. You will take ownership of assigned entities, work across complex corporate structures, prepare consolidated financial reporting, analyze intercompany activity and investments, and work closely with stakeholders throughout the organization.For a strong Senior Accountant looking to build deeper technical expertise while gaining exposure to a sophisticated real estate and investment platform, there is a lot here to work with.The OpportunityThe Senior Accountant will be responsible for corporate accounting and reporting across a diverse group of entities.You will have meaningful ownership over your work while contributing to consolidated financial statements, management reporting, investment analysis, budgeting and forecasting.The environment is fast-paced and expects people to be able to learn quickly, investigate issues, source information and take ownership of finding the answer rather than simply waiting for direction.The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation from public practice combined with meaningful industry experience, particularly within a complex multi-entity or consolidation environment.What You'll Be DoingFinancial Reporting & ConsolidationPrepare quarterly and annual financial statements for standalone and consolidated entitiesConsolidate complex corporate structures and analyze intercompany transactions, investments and equityReview trial balances, subledgers and financial results across assigned entitiesPrepare and review journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedulesAnalyze financial results and investigate unusual transactions or variancesReview financial information prepared by junior team members and participate in peer reviewsPrepare reporting for externally managed investmentsSupport management reporting,



dashboards and partnership-level analysis including NAV, cash flow and capital activityAssist with budgeting, forecasting and overhead analysisClose, Compliance & AuditContribute to month-end, quarter-end and year-end closeMaintain accurate accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting standardsResearch and apply technical accounting guidance when requiredPrepare financial reports and supporting documentationLiaise with external auditors and coordinate audit requestsEnsure reporting requirements and deadlines are consistently metProcess ImprovementThis organization is continuing to grow and evolve, and the accounting team is expected to do the same.You Will Have The Opportunity ToIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reportingHelp streamline existing workflowsSupport accounting system implementations and upgradesImprove reporting tools and financial informationContribute to training and development within the accounting teamParticipate in special projects across the broader organizationWhat We're Looking ForYou Will Ideally BringCPA designation required4+ years of progressive accounting experienceA combination of public practice and industry experience, with the greater portion ideally gained in industryStrong experience preparing financial statements and consolidated reportingExperience working within complex or multi-entity corporate structuresStrong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting principlesAdvanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasetsExperience with financial analysis, management reporting and audit preparationStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent attention to detailThe ability to independently research issues and determine appropriate solutionsA demonstrated ability to learn new concepts quicklyStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience within real estate, development, construction, investments or another asset-intensive industry would be particularly valuable.Exposure to ASPE, REALpac, Yardi, CaseWare, Power BI,
