The Manager works collaboratively with other members of the Department's Leadership Team in a co-leadership model to ensure compounding, preparation and delivery of medications for patients meet high standards for quality and patient safety and is aligned with strategic priorities of the Pharmacy Department and NSH.In addition, the Manager oversees drug procurement and inventory management, pharmacy technician/pharmacy practice assistant competency assessment and certification and health technology assessment (drug distribution systems). The Manager oversees the selection, training and evaluation of pharmacy technician/pharmacy practice assistants, and students with respect to expected performance and competencies and supports the operational, fiscal and strategic objectives of the Pharmacy Department and NSH. The Manager is also responsible to ensure that all programs and initiatives are consistent with the mission, vision, values, strategic directions and business plan of NSH.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:Completion of a recognized pharmacy technician programLicensed as a pharmacy technician in Nova Scotia,



through the Nova Scotia College of PharmacistsCompletion of a management training program preferredMinimum 3 years' experience in a hospital setting managing human, financial and material resources allocated to Pharmacy service an assetProficient with computers and office administration programs, experience with pharmacy software and technology preferredExcellent interpersonal communication and team-oriented skillsDemonstrated collaborative practice with pharmacy practice assistants, pharmacists, learners, nursing, physicians and managersMust possess strong planning, evaluative and leadership skills; have demonstrated fiscal and time-management skillsStrong knowledge of healthcare issues and collective agreementsExcellent knowledge of hospital pharmacy practiceAbility to prioritize, problem solve and work under pressure of time limitations is requiredPrevious experience with Failure Mode Effects and Analysis reviews an assetCompetencies in other languages an asset, French preferredPlease ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.HoursPermanent full-time position; 75 hours biweeklyCompensation and BenefitsPay Scale Type: ManagementBand: 5Hourly Rate: $45.75 - $56.04Annual Salary: $89,205 - $109,276Successful candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health,
