SUMMARYReporting to the HSE Manager, Site Safety Advisor is responsible for promoting a safe and healthy working environment to all levels of employees with the assistance of internal policies and procedures, as well as provincial legislation.JOB DUTIESImplement the health and safety policies for the projectProvide advice, strategies, and problem solving to project management on all health and safety mattersProvide leadership, direction, and guidance to the Safety department and front-line management in the implementation and development of ICT and/or Client Safety Management SystemsCompile safety start up documentationLead and facilitate the task hazard analysis and risk assessment processLead and participate in incident investigations by reporting and implementing corrective actionsDevelop, implement, and coordinate incident reporting,



and safety statistics for the projectLead weekly safety meetings and attend daily toolbox meetingsEnsure compliance with respect to employee safety trainingLiaise with project management to ensure compliance with safety legislation at all timesReview FLHA's and Hazard ID'sComplete site safety orientations for recent employees and sub-contractorsAssist in the coordination of required training for employeesAssist in the development and management of Emergency Response PlansWork with management to assist with Worker's Compensation claimsDevelop return to work programs with project supervision and managementPrepare and assist with external safety auditsOther duties as requested by managementQualifications:Minimum of 5 years' related experience in an industrial settingNCSO certification or completed OH&S program is preferredWorking knowledge of all related safety legislationExcellent communication and presentation skillsProficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)Work remotelyNoJob Types: Permanent, Full-timeLicence/Certification:NCSO (preferred)Willingness to travel:75% (preferred)Work Location: In person
