As our ideal candidate, you will combine deep GCP technical expertise with client‑facing consulting skills. On a typical engagement you will: Partner with client architects and product owners to design agentic solutions on Gemini Enterprise / Vertex AI Agent Builder for real business workflows — customer operations, knowledge assistance, back‑office automation, employee productivity. Lead the end‑to‑end architecture: agent orchestration patterns (planner/executor, multi‑agent hand‑off, human‑in‑the‑loop), tool and function calling, grounding on enterprise sources, guardrails, observability, and cost/latency controls. Design the data foundation that agents depend on — canonical semantic layer, entity resolution, metadata and lineage, access‑controlled retrieval on BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Vertex AI Search — and work with data engineering teams to land it. Build evaluation harnesses (offline and online) so clients can measure and improve agent quality, safety, and business outcomes over time.



Mentor junior engineers on the team; contribute to Deloitte's agentic‑AI practice assets, playbooks, and internal enablement. Enough about us, let’s talk about you This is a Senior Consultant role: 7–10 years of total experience with 4–6 years hands‑on on Google Cloud (or equivalent cloud with a credible GCP transition path). You will lead workstreams and mentor 2–4 junior team members while working under the direction of a Manager or Senior Manager. Qualifications 7–10 years total technology experience; 4–6 years hands‑on on Google Cloud (or credible transition from another hyperscaler). Hands‑on experience designing and shipping enterprise agent solutions on Gemini Enterprise or Vertex AI Agent Builder — orchestration, tool/function calling, grounding, evaluation, and safety controls. Working knowledge of the Agent Development Kit (ADK) and the Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol, or equivalent multi‑agent orchestration patterns. Deep familiarity with the Vertex AI stack: Gemini models, Vertex AI Search, embeddings, vector search, Vertex AI Pipelines, model registry, evaluation. Solid understanding of the data‑foundation prerequisites for agent quality: BigQuery semantic layer, dbt or comparable transformation tooling,



metadata and lineage (Dataplex or equivalent), entity resolution, row/column‑level access controls. Practical experience with prompt engineering, RAG patterns, tool/function calling, structured outputs, and grounding‑quality evaluation. Working knowledge of AI safety and governance: content safety, PII handling, prompt‑injection defenses, model and data‑usage policies, responsible‑AI review. Proficient in Python; comfortable with at least one of TypeScript / Java / Go for agent tools and services. Strong client‑facing communication and the ability to explain trade‑offs to both engineers and executives. Good to have GCP certification (Qualified Cloud Architect, Professional Machine Learning Engineer, or Generative AI Leader). Experience integrating agents with enterprise systems via Apigee, Workspace APIs, ServiceNow, Salesforce, SAP, or Microsoft 365. Exposure to model fine‑tuning, distillation, or adapter techniques on Vertex AI. Prior consulting or professional‑services experience in financial services, public sector, or regulated industries. Contributions to open‑source agent frameworks, technical blogs, or conference talks. Security Clearance (Reliability / Secret) Language requirement (Montreal) For candidates based in Montreal: proficiency in French (spoken and written) is required, in addition to English, to serve our Quebec‑based clients and colleagues in accordance with Bill 96. Total Rewards The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $138,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
