The Leo Baeck Day School is a Reform Jewish Day School and an authorized International Baccalaureate World School, a designation reflected in our innovative pedagogy. We are currently seeking a Student Support Specialist (Social Worker, Guidance Counsellor, or Child & Youth Worker) who will work as part of a team under the supervision of the Principal and the Dean of Student Services. The successful candidate will provide individual and small-group emotional support to students, family guidance, facilitate dynamic workshops and classes on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) concepts, and partner with teachers to implement our social-emotional curriculum across Grades K-8. Applicants should have:

Background in Social Work, Guidance Counselling, Child and Youth Care,



or a related field (e.g., BSW/MSW, CYC/CYW diploma/degree, or Guidance & Counselling qualifications). Active registration or membership with the relevant Ontario professional body or association. Demonstrated experience providing individual support and leading small group interventions for K-8 children. Proven ability to design and deliver engaging classroom instruction and workshops on SEL concepts.
