Please note, candidates must be available to work variable hours on an on call basis.What We Offer?Recruit Hourly Rate: $23.96Benefits: Employee Assistance Program and option to participate in the OMERS pension planEmployee perks/discounts: Discount on Active Living Pass and PerkopolisFor further details of what we offer, please visit Why Milton.Major Job ResponsibilitiesResponds to a wide range of emergency incidents to provide assistance in the rescuing, protection, and preservation of lives, property, and the environment within the Incident Command SystemPerforms fire ground operations including confining, controlling and extinguishing fires; search, rescue and evacuation of individuals; exposure protection; salvage and overhaul in accordance with departmental policies and guidelinesPerform a variety of rescue-related duties to protect the public and reduce further injuries related to motor vehicle accidents, high-level rescue, confined space, ice and water rescue, and industrial accidents, etc.Provides emergency medical care including conducting patient assessments, obtaining vital signs, administering first aid, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and/or defibrillation, preparing patients for transport, and assisting paramedics as requiredDrive and operate fire apparatus and support vehicles within the parameters of the Highway Traffic ActPerforms routine cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of stations, apparatus,
