Our apprentices benefit from manufacturer training, collectively bargained compensation and benefits, and a clear, structured growth path.The RoleThe Apprentice Automotive Service Technician works under the guidance of licensed technicians to inspect, maintain, and repair customer and dealership vehicles while completing the training hours and examinations required for Ontario 310S certification.This is a unionized position at Sault Nissan represented by IAMAW Automotive Lodge 2332 and governed by the applicable Collective Agreement.What You'll DoAssist and work under the direction of licensed technicians on inspection, maintenance, and repair tasksPerform scheduled maintenance and manufacturer-recommended services appropriate to your training levelAccumulate hours toward the Ontario Automotive Service Technician (310S) certificationComplete required in-school and in-shop training components of the apprenticeshipDocument work performed, parts used, and recommendations as directedMaintain a clean, organized,



and safe work areaWork collaboratively with Service, Parts, technicians, and other apprenticesPerform other reasonable duties as assignedWhat You BringEnrolment or eligibility for enrolment in the Ontario Automotive Service Technician (310S) apprenticeship programStrong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learnValid driver's licenceAbility to perform the physical requirements of the positionAbility to provide and maintain the tools customarily required for the trade as your apprenticeship progressesWillingness to complete required in-school training and examinations within the timelines set by the apprenticeship programCompensation and Working ConditionsApprentice wage: $22.41/hourA standard 40-hour work week consisting of five shifts scheduled Monday through Saturday, generally 8:00 a.M. to 5:00 p.M., with a one-hour unpaid lunch, subject to the Collective AgreementApprentices must write required licensing examinations within 90 days of completing all required apprenticeship hoursWhat We OfferOngoing Nissan and dealership training toward your 310S certificationCompany-provided shop equipmentCompany-supplied, repaired, and laundered uniforms or coveralls, where requiredA busy, team-oriented workplace with an established community presenceThe opportunity to build a long-term career in Sault Ste.
