The ideal candidate understands membrane roofing systems, takes pride in watertight details, follows safety requirements consistently, and contributes to an efficient and respectful field crew.Key ResponsibilitiesRemove and dispose of existing roof-system materials as requiredPrepare substrates and install insulation, vapour barriers, membranes, flashings, and related componentsComplete seams, penetrations, drains, curbs, edges, and other critical waterproofing detailsAssist with inspections, leak investigation, maintenance, and repairsOperate roofing tools and equipment in accordance with safety proceduresFollow fall-protection and applicable fire-watch requirementsReport damaged substrates, moisture, or site concerns to the foremanMaintain an orderly work area and complete daily and final cleanupQualificationsProfessional flat or membrane roofing experience requiredWorking knowledge of common flat-roof systems, materials, and detailing methodsAbility to use relevant hand tools, power tools,



and roofing equipment safelyComfort working at heights and outdoors in varying conditionsPhysical ability to lift materials and perform repetitive construction tasksReliable attendance, attention to detail, and a team-focused attitudeValid driver's licence and reliable transportation to assigned job sites throughout Ottawa and surrounding communities are requiredAbility to understand and communicate jobsite instructions and safety information in English.Pay and BenefitsPay: CA$25.00-CA$35.00 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated skillDental carePaid time offOpportunity to work with an established, quality-focused Ottawa contractorSchedule: Monday-Friday, with start times and hours varying based on project schedules and weather conditions.
