Responsibilities include commissioning control systems and integrated rig equipment on drilling rigs domestically and internationally. You will need to work under minimal supervision and train customers on our OEM equipment, which may include Top Drives, Catwalks, Wrenches, Drawworks, or Robotic Operating Systems. Work must be performed in accordance with our quality standards, specifications and meet our customers' expectations.Install, troubleshoot and repair our OEM equipmentAssist our customers with electrical issues throughout their rig (non-OEM)Complete duties both in our shop and in the fieldWork locally, domestically,



and internationallyUnderstand ladder logic for troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Omron, GE, Beckhoff etc)Work with VFD's for motor control (ABB, Yaskawa, Converteam, etc)Provide on-call support while on rotationMake minor mechanical repairs when neededInstall and calibrate rig instrumentationTroubleshoot generators and SCR'sUnderstand engineering documentation (schematics, one-line etc)Work in remote areas with minimal supervisionFollow our safe work practices and promote a safe work environmentComplete documentation with Microsoft Word and ExcelOperate and maintain a company vehicle in accordance to our policies2-3 years of related experienceJourneyman Red Sealed Electrician or Instrumentation TechnicianExperience with motors, VFD's, and PLC'sClean drivers abstractPassport holder and able to work in the USPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSJourneyman certificate of at least 3 yearsInstrumentation or Millwright experienceMicrosoft Office CertificationRig experienceBEHAVIOURAL COMPETANCIESAdaptable and dependableStrong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbalStrong electrical/technical knowledgeExcellent troubleshooting skills to analyze equipment skillfullyMust be professional in both appearance and behavior
