Purpose of the Position

Reporting to the quality assurance vice-president, the incumbent will be responsible for performing various tasks in support of quality and production.

Responsibilities

- Perform internal and external audits (customers, NADCAP, AS9100);
- Implement corrective and preventive actions following audits;
- Prepare and assist external auditors during customer audits;
- Implement corrective and preventive actions raised following external audits and communicate the results and actions to the auditors;
- Assist in advancing quality practices and special process techniques for: welding (melting and strength), plasma coating, painting, TND (LPI) and chemical cleaning;
- Approve technical instructions and associated training materials;
- Review and approve the qualification of specialized operators and technicians (welders, plasma operators, painters);




- Manage non-conformities raised by customers;
- Participate in the preparation of the quarterly and annual review of internal non-conformance assessments and the evaluation of complaints and implement corrective actions and ensure follow-up;
- Provide training on the quality system for all new employees;
- Apply and respect safety rules at all times;
- Apply and respect the rules of our policy and our quality system;
- Perform all other related tasks.

Required Education

- College diploma in mechanical engineering or a related field (metallurgy, quality, aeronautics) and any combination of relevant experience.

Technical Skills

- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
- Proficiency in the Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), an asset;
- Experience as an internal auditor;
- Experience with special processes & NADCAP, an asset;
- Experience with AS9100 is an asset;
- Knowledge of Transport Canada regulations is an asset;
- Excellent proficiency in French (spoken and written), along with advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written), is required to support regular communications with clients and suppliers outside Quebec.
