The Mustard Seed is searching for a Community Food Distribution Associate to enhance food security efforts in Greater Victoria. This hybrid role demands expertise in logistics, organization, and explicit communication across multiple teams.
As a key member of the Food Security Team, you will manage the safe transportation and redistribution of rescued food. Duties include sorting, organizing warehouse inventory, and operating vehicles for food rescue deliveries. Collaboration with volunteers and adherence to safety protocols are crucial aspects of the job.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sort and assess donated food for quality
• Ensure accurate and efficient order building for agencies
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely




• Organize and monitor cold storage areas
• Assist with transportation and delivery requests
Requirements:
• Current BC Driver's License with clean abstract
• Forklift/pallet jack certification is preferable
• Previous warehouse experience desired
• Computer skills for inventory tracking
• Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check
