Working within their legislated scope of practice and scope of employment, the Pharmacy Practice Assistant assumes responsibility for their own actions, are accountable to the public and contribute as a healthcare professional to plan of care and function of pharmacy to ensure a safe and healthy environment.The Pharmacy Practice Assistant functions are self-determined, assigned through management, the pharmacist, another Pharmacy Technician or as requested by other members of the care team.About YouGrade XII plus completion of a recognized Pharmacy Technician/Technology Program (accredited program preferred) OR one-year full-time experience as a hospital pharmacy technician OR two years' experience as a community pharmacy technicianIf the successful candidate is a Registered Technician, they will be compensated according to the Registered Technician payscaleLicensure in Nova Scotia as a Pharmacy Technician (NSCP) is an assetTwo years' experience as a pharmacy technician/pharmacy practice assistant, preferably in a hospital, an assetKnowledge of medical terminology,
