This role will primarily be focused on the interpretation and logging of daily drill core as well as other duties typically encountered in day-to-day core shack operations.Why Apply?Offering a competitive salary with opportunities for career growth and advancement.Benefit from working with a highly skilled team that encourages mentorship and professional development.Collaborate with experienced individuals and build new connections that will pave the way for future career prospects and enhance your skilled network!Responsibilities:Geological logging and sampling of diamond drill coreCollect geological data for the purpose of ore interpretation and reserve andresource calculationsCommunicate changes in ore interpretation to geology departmentCarry out specific accountabilities as assigned by the Project ManagersFrequent lifting up to 34 kg to waist is requiredAssisting in assuring the quality control and quality assurance of samplesMonitoring and evaluating geological and assay data qualityEnsuring geological data is collected to specified standards and QA/QC protocol is followed and drill logs are error free and validatedComplete field visits to drill sits to check drill site locations and ensure drill and exploration programs are conducted to high standards and samples are collected and transported to the assay lab efficientlyAid in completing weekly KPI's, including assigned drillhole tracking and core logging related tasksMonitor the work and performance of core techniciansOther tasks as assignedRequirements:A Bachelor of Science in GeologyUnderstanding of geological settings, deposit models, and ore-forming process as it pertains to the latest concepts of gold deposit environmentsA commitment to safety, environment, and communityEffective communication and organization skillsAbility to manage a wide variety of projects and timelines to meet tight time restraintsComputer skills in Microsoft Applications, industry-standard digital logging and database entryThe capability to work positively with a team of professional and technical people in a changing, creative, and energetic environment is criticalValid G Class Driver's Licence or equivalent and own reliable transportationPay Rate:$38-$45 commensurate upon prior experienceSchedule:14 on/14 off, 12-hour shifts (meals & accommodations provided)
