This role focuses on empowering women navigating the effects of gender-based violence.You will be pivotal in delivering trauma-informed support to women's experiences, using an intersectional feminist approach. Engage in both one-on-one counselling and group facilitation while collaborating with community partners to strengthen support networks. Your role will include providing compassionate service and fostering resilience.Key Responsibilities:Facilitate therapeutic sessions for individual and group clientsAssist women in safety and action plan developmentPromote connections with essential community resourcesAddress crisis situations with immediate interventionsMaintain accurate records as per agency policiesRequirements:3-5 years of counselling experience with survivorsRelevant degree/diploma in social work is preferredCurrent First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certificationsIn-depth knowledge of gender-based violence issuesExcellent interpersonal and time-management skillsUtilize your skills to support and empower women through their healing journey at Athena's Centre.
