The Physiotherapist is accountable for maintaining the Standards of Practice and Ethics of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. The Physiotherapist will provide clinical education and experience for allied health students and will participate in formal teaching and research in collaboration with Queen's University or other institutions. As a team member, the Physiotherapist participates in discipline-specific and inter-professional activities that are directed towards a client-centered environment and that contribute to quality, operational efficiency, professional and program development.Skills And Qualifications RequiredGraduate of a recognized school of PhysiotherapyActive, unrestricted license to practice with the College of Physiotherapists of OntarioExperience in specified area of practice, preferred.Experience in student supervision, an asset.Position ResponsibilitiesUtilizes evidence-based practice and best practiceUtilizes outcome measures to guide clinical decision-makingReviews medical referralsPerforms appropriate evaluation/assessmentParticipates in inter-skilled care planning, team,



and family conferencesParticipates in physiotherapy education and counseling for clients, families and caregiversShares newly acquired knowledge and skills with physiotherapy staffParticipates in physiotherapeutic education for other health professionals, community groups and agenciesDuties may vary according to practice location.
