Reporting to the Materials Control, Stores, Receiving Supervisor, the L1 Material Handler is responsible to offload, organize, store, kit, and deliver material to the proper departments, under supervision and guidance.Role ResponsibilitiesOff-loading deliveries from trucks and flagging visible damageDelivering incoming parts from receiving and stores warehouse to appropriate areasStoring parts in a safe and orderly mannerRemoving pallets and cratesTracking material being shipped to the outside warehouse and material being returnedRecording materials delivered to Production and obtaining a signature for proof of deliveryKeeping core steel, insulation material, winding conductor, and cable coveredPerforming stock checks and doing cycle countsKitting material as per production requirementsRemoving scrap material from holding areasIdentifying shortages and informing Supervisor or Lead Hand as directedSafely operating forklift, hand truck, overhead crane or other equipment (including front end loader) to load, unload, transport and store goodsEnsuring that tasks are executed safely, following all safety protocols and procedures to protect the employees, equipment and the transformerUtilizing effective time management to meet production deadlinesAll other duties as assigned by the supervisorQualifications/Skills/Job RequirementsMinimum Grade 12 Education or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of two (2)
