Dawson Road Maintenanceis looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic who will use their skills to tackle machinery challenges, ensuring our fleet of heavy-duty equipment operates with excellence.In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Road Maintenance, working in a seasonal, full-time position of Heavy Duty Mechanic, reporting to the Mechanical Foreman. This position requires a skilled and experienced technician; one who is safety-conscious, production oriented, and self-motivated to perform diagnostic and repair work on a variety of trucks and equipment. Your base location will be Hazelton, BC and may require some travel throughout our great province.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKESafely perform accurate and complete vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairsAdhere to all policies and proceduresPrioritize a safe working environmentLiaise with management to ensure a smooth flow of communication during repairs or maintenance workAlways strive to exceed industry standard by providing quality workmanshipPerform daily bay inspections to ensure shop neatness/cleanliness,



and safetyWork closely as a team to ensure all tasks are completed efficientlyEffectively work in all weather conditions and have the flexibility to work shift work if necessaryWHAT YOU BRING3rd or 4th year apprentice Heavy Duty or Commercial Transport MechanicJourneyman Certificate is an assetExperience and / or certification in Automotive Mechanic is an assetPreferably Grade 12 education; and up-to-date technical knowledge acquired through trade-related courses since achieving TQ certificationBC Driver 's License, minimum Class 5.
