DRS Pivotal Power is part of the Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics group and has currently over 30,000 fielded units boasting a field reliability of over 99%.Job SummaryReporting directly to Manager-Quality, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for assisting with quality system development and supporting product quality improvements. They will develop, maintain and deploy quality plans and activities that translate customer requirements into planned activities. This role is an in‐office position reporting on‐site at our Bedford, NS facility.ResponsibilitiesAssist with quality system development and support product quality improvementsDevelop, maintain and deploy quality plans and activities that translate customer requirements into planned activitiesWork independently under supervision of othersReview and approve engineering/test and contractor documentation and provide input to assure that appropriate quality requirements are addressedGather, organize, monitor, analyze and report on information on products and processesProvide ongoing quality system support to include performing internal audits and ensuring implementation of root‐cause corrective actionsParticipate on product quality improvement teams, Material Review Boards and Failure Review BoardsEvaluate and disposition non‐conforming materialProvide technical support for Assembly/Test/Inspection personnel to include executing workmanship improvement plans, developing inspection methods and criteria, specifying appropriate sampling plans, interpreting and revising specifications, and processing non‐conforming materialsAssist in resolving customer quality issuesInitiate and drive root cause and corrective action on process and product quality issuesParticipate in supplier selection and improvement processesAssist with on‐site audits, evaluate prototypes,
