Role Description The Research and Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Woodstock, ON. This position oversees the development of new nutraceutical formulations, optimizes existing products, and ensures that all R&D; activities align with regulatory and quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and conducting research, supervising formulation trials, managing R&D; projects from concept through scale-up, and collaborating with production, quality, and sales teams to support product launches. The role also involves leading and mentoring the R&D; team, prioritizing workloads, documenting technical findings, and continuously evaluating new ingredients,



technologies, and processes to improve product performance and manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Research and Development (R&D;) and research skills, including formulation development and experimental design.
- Candidates should possess proven team management and team leadership skills to guide and develop a multidisciplinary R&D; group.
- Candidates should possess solid project management skills to plan, track, and deliver multiple R&D; projects on time and within scope.
- Relevant experience in nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, food science, or a related field, with understanding of regulatory and quality requirements.
- Post-secondary education in chemistry, biochemistry, food science, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities, with attention to detail and data integrity.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with scale-up from lab to production, knowledge of GMP or similar manufacturing standards, and competency with basic lab equipment and procedures.
