SalaryCAD $31.64 – $31.64 per hour.Job SummaryThe Activity Worker supports residents in an interdisciplinary team by implementing an activity program that promotes participation and independence in daily living and leisure activities.Detailed OverviewThe role reports to the Program Coordinator and is responsible for carrying out an established activity program that supports residents in reaching and/or maintaining their optimal functional level, enhancing quality of life through participation, independence, and collaboration with residents and support systems.ResponsibilitiesCarry out activity programs in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, responding to residents' individual care plans.Organise and facilitate leisure activities, encouraging resident participation within their abilities and informing residents of daily plans.Assist residents in acquiring and enhancing leisure and recreational skills, promoting community resource access and support.Support residents with activities of daily living: toileting, bathing, skin care, grooming, and dressing.Prepare easy food items (e.G., heating prepared food, making tea/coffee, toast, sandwiches)



in accordance with HACCP, encouraging resident self‑prep where possible.Act as liaison between residents, community resources, and the interdisciplinary team.Contribute input regarding residents' participation in activities, and communicate related concerns to the team.Participate in team meetings and provide activity program input for assigned patients.Maintain required reports, records and workload statistics, and keep files in accordance with program standards and procedures.Perform other related duties as required.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceGrade 12 completion; recognized recreationalcourses plus two (2) years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
