Quality is an integral part of project performance. Velan is currently seeking a Project Quality Assurance Specialist to join its team. The position may be based in Montréal or Granby.This role is intended for an experienced QA professional who is comfortable working in highly regulated environments and on complex engineering projects (nuclear energy, critical applications, defense,
etc.).Your RoleAnalyze contractual quality requirements for projects; Prepare inspection and test plans as well as quality documentation; Act as a QA reference for project teams and clients; Manage non‐conformances and contractual issues; Participate in internal and external audits; Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes.Desired ProfileBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering; 5+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in quality assurance or quality control; Experience in astructured and regulated industrial setting; Strong knowledge of ASME standards (Section III, VIII and/or B31.3 — major asset); Knowledge of ISO 9001 / NQA‐1 (audit experience is an asset); Eligibility forthe Controlled Goods Program (CGP); Bilingual in French and English.Why This Role?Complex, non‐routine technical projects; Strong visibility and technical credibility; Solid working conditions and opportunities for career growth.Location:Montréal, North ShoreWe subscribe to the principle of employment equity and guarantee the confidentiality of your application.
