The trust company provides specialized services tailored to the unique governance and fiduciary needs of Indigenous communities and institutions.About this RoleThe Trust Officer role offers a full time opportunity based out of FNBC's head office located on the Yellow Quill First Nation's reserve land in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This position is central to delivering high quality, ethical trust client services within FNB Trust operations. As a Trust Officer,



you will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and will be responsible for preparing comprehensive client meeting agendas and materials.You will record minutes in an accurate, efficient and timely manner, ensuring that client relationships are maintained on track and in good standing. This role requires close collaboration with the FNB Trust team, including the Trust Legal Officer, Client Operations team, and Senior Trust and Client Operations Officer, as well as support staff from FNBC and FNB Trust.You will be expected to oversee the preparation of trustee and leadership meeting packages, ensure minutes are finalized according to FNB Trust guidelines, and manage the preparation of client presentations, reports, and communications. The position involves maintaining expert knowledge of legislative, administrative and economic issues impacting trust account management, with particular proficiency in trust legal and regulatory frameworks.You will be responsible for proactively ensuring compliance with defined policies and procedures while limiting risk exposure through adherence to audit and internal control standards.ResponsibilitiesAct as the central point of contact for assigned clients and travel to various trust-related meetings as neededProvide best-in-class and compliant client experiences to trustees, leadership, and membersWork closely with the FNB Trust team including the Trust Legal Officer, Client Operations team,



and Senior Trust and Client Operations OfficerOversee the preparation of client trustee and/or leadership meeting agendas and packagesEnsure minutes are taken and finalized in alignment with FNB Trust minute guidelines and templatesOversee the timely and accurate preparation of client presentations, quarterly and annual reportsPrepare communications to Members and any other correspondence needed for servicing assigned clientsProvide trust-related training to clients including Trustees, Leadership and MembershipOversee the review and execution of client investment advisor and investment manager contractsReview and oversee client investment policiesLimit risk exposure by ensuring Trust client services are carried out proactively and in compliance with defined policies and proceduresMaintain compliance with audit and internal control standardsMaintain expert knowledge of legislative, administrative and economic issues impacting account managementCommunicate on a broad range of legal and financial issues with clients and their advisorsAbide by FNB Trust's and FNBC's policies and procedures related to conflicts of interest, privacy, confidentiality and data managementParticipate in intra and inter-departmental meetings as requestedRequirementsUndergraduate degree in business administrationMinimum of 3-5 years of related experienceAdvanced level of fluency in using Excel, Word and PowerPointProven success in Indigenous client relationship managementProfessional and/or industry accreditation such as CPA, CFA or CIM (preferred but not required)Preference given to Indigenous peoples who are recognized members or descendants of First Nations, Métis, or Inuit peoples Indigenous to CanadaBenefitsNo specific benefits information provided in the job description
