Take on the critical role of Registered Psychiatric Nurse at Rockyview General Hospital's Unit 45, providing in-patient acute care. Be part of a team dedicated to mental health recovery. You will assess and address the mental health needs of patients, facilitate care plans, and engage in discharge planning that supports ongoing recovery. Your knowledge of verbal de-escalation techniques and psychotropic medications will be essential in providing effective care. Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough assessments of patients' mental health
Work with teams to develop and implement care strategies




Lead group therapy sessions to enhance recovery
Monitor patients receiving Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)
Advocate for patient needs and promote holistic wellness Requirements:
Completion of nursing education from an accredited program
Registration with the CRNA or eligibility required
Valid BCLS-HCP certification
Six months of addiction and mental health experience
