As an entry level position, Forklift Operators are assessed for their suitability and aptitude towards appropriate apprenticeship training.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform general tasks related to maintenance, material handling, clean-up, basic tool and machinery operations, and other elemental activities at fabrication shopsAbility to drive forklift to job site, operate forklift and position or place equipment and materialsTransport materials and equipment manually or using powered equipmentPerform pre-operational inspection and maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating forkliftsAssist tradespersons and other fabrication shop personnelWork under close supervision within well-defined proceduresUnder direct supervision, may be required to operate basic hand and power toolsClean work areas and equipmentCarry out warehousing, tool crib, or janitorial dutiesAct safely,
