RESPONSIBILITIES: Solve tool and die problems arising during production runs, with minimum interruption to production. Complete all work forms including preventative maintenance reports, spare part lists, time sheets, tool inventory, and tool status. Make engineering changes, modifications, and repairs to existing fixtures, productions parts, and tools. Ensure that try-outs meet the production schedule requirement(s) or customer delivery dates. Ensure all work adheres to quality standards and the requirements of the quick die change program. Actively participate in the design and development of methods of tooling and fixtures in order to meet quick die change objectives. Build recent tooling or fixtures from strip layout drawings or customer product drawings.
