Summary

Join our team as a Utility Locator in the Edmonton area, where your expertise will help us ensure safe and exact utility detection and excavation. This role is vital in supporting our mission to provide reliable and safe excavation services.
Responsibilities
Locate underground utilities accurately using specialized equipment and techniques.
Assist with Hydrovac operations by identifying utility lines before excavation.
Conduct site assessments to determine the best approach for utility location.
Maintain and calibrate locating equipment regularly.
Follow safety protocols to prevent damage to utilities and ensure team safety.
Collaborate with excavation crews to plan safe digging operations.
Document findings and report any issues or discrepancies.
Support overall site safety and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Utility Locator or in a similar role within the construction or excavation industry.




Robust mechanical knowledge and familiarity with heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and bucket trucks.
Electrical experience or knowledge of low voltage systems is preferred.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools.
Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team and alone.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical ability to perform manual tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Pay: $22.00-$32.00 per hour
