The Resident Support Worker provides direct support and supervision to residents across multiple housing and shelter programs. The position ensures services are delivered professionally and that residents are safe, supported, and treated with dignity and respect.

Department: Multiple Programs (Women's Centre, TTH, Spruce Bough)

Hours of Work: Shift Work (Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends)

Status: Part time / Full time

Scope

-Provides coverage across programs as needed and supports day-to-day operations.

-Monitors resident safety and ensures program rules are followed.

-Maintains accurate records, files, and administrative tools.

-Ensures the facility is clean, safe, and functioning properly at all times.

Core Responsibilities

-Provide trauma-informed support, crisis intervention, and de-escalation.

-Respond to resident needs including food, hygiene supplies, bedding, and general support.

-Build respectful relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.

-Encourage positive participation in routines, chores, and programming.
