Empower equity-deserving students as a Departmental Assistant at Yellow House, where your administrative skills will support community-building efforts. Collaborate across diverse groups to promote equity and inclusion. In this vital administrative role, you'll contribute to the Yellow House Student Centre for Equity & Inclusion by providing clerical support and engaging with QTBIPoC student communities.
Your work will include managing communications, scheduling, and organizing significant initiatives and events. Applicants must identify as Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, or People of Colour (QTBIPoC) to ensure the representation of these communities. Key Responsibilities:
Act as the first point of contact for inquiries and support
Screen calls and provide accurate information to students and staff
Coordinate appointments, meetings, and event bookings
Provide support for the organization of programs
Manage clerical tasks like filing and mail handling Requirements:
Self-identification as Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, or People of Colour
Robust organizational and communication abilities
Genuine interest in equity and inclusion efforts
Willingness to work evenings and weekends
