Grocery Clerk – Lucky Supermarket Surrey

Lucky Supermarket is an Asian grocery supermarket offering a wide selection of Asian and Western groceries, fresh produce, meat, seafood and specialty products.

We are looking for a Grocery Clerk to join our Surrey location.

Responsibilities
Provide friendly and helpful customer service.
Stock shelves and display products in a neat and organized manner.
Unpack, count, weigh and sort products received by the store.
Rotate stock and ensure products are properly displayed.
Keep shelves, products and work areas clean and organized.
Assist customers in locating products throughout the store.
Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping.
Record incoming stock and assist with inventory as required.
Assist with receiving and organizing merchandise.
Cross-train and assist in other departments when required, including Produce, Meat, Bakery, Deli, Cashier and Customer Service.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Friendly and customer-service oriented.




Reliable and able to work well as part of a team.
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace.
Able to lift and handle products weighing up to 23 kg (approximately 50 lbs).
Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
Able to perform repetitive lifting, bending, crouching and kneeling.
Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as required.
Knowledge of Asian and Western grocery products is an asset.
A second language is an asset.
Steel-toed safety footwear may be required depending on assigned duties.
