City West Childcare & Community Support Society is a non-profit Early Learning and Childcare centre nestled in the beautiful Edmonton River Valley. Located in a quiet neighbourhood, our centre is easily accessible and offers free parking. We employ exclusively Level 3 Early Childhood Educators and maintain enhanced educator-to-child ratios in all playrooms. In addition to providing high-quality early learning and childcare, we offer family and community support programs in support of our vision: resilient children and families in a supportive community.

City West Childcare & Community Support Society is currently recruiting a full-time Early Childhood Educator (37.5 hours per week) with Level 3 ECE certification. The successful candidate will be able to articulate and model skilled childcare practices and demonstrate knowledge of Flight: Alberta’s Early Learning and Care Framework.

Key responsibilities include attending to children’s individual needs, ensuring their health and safety, and actively participating in play-based learning. The successful candidate will establish and maintain positive relationships with children and families, work collaboratively with team members,



and communicate openly and respectfully. The ideal candidate relates comfortably to children, demonstrates strong physical and mental stamina, and shows flexibility, dependability, initiative, and a positive, enthusiastic attitude.

The centre is open Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Schedule will vary on an as-needed basis. The starting hourly wage range for this position is $26.62–$28.62 per hour, including wage top-up.

Education & Qualifications
Minimum Level 3 Provincial ECE Certification
Valid First Aid Certificate
