We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and guidance to children and teens, especially those with disabilities and high risk behaviors. The Youth Worker will engage with youth in various settings, helping them develop essential life skills, build confidence, and foster positive relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children/young adults and has a passion for education and empowerment.

Responsibilities
Provide direct support to children and young adults, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
Develop and implement educational activities that promote learning and personal growth.
Assist youth in setting and achieving personal goals, encouraging independence and self-advocacy.
Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to create tailored support plans.
Monitor the progress of youth participants and document their development regularly.
Facilitate group activities that encourage teamwork, social skills, and community involvement.
Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating appropriate behaviours and attitudes.

Requirements




Experience working with children or young adults in educational or recreational settings is preferred.
Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities and high risk behaviours is highly desirable.
Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with youth and their families.
Ability to educate youth on various topics including life skills, social interactions, and personal development.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of young people.
Ability to work adaptable schedule as needed to accommodate program schedules.

Pay: From $27.54 per hour

Night shift work only 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM Monday to Sunday

Experience:
Residential Youth Care Work: 1 year (preferred)
