Position Overview

We are seeking an EMV Implementation Specialist to support the implementation, deployment, migration, and ongoing operation of EMV and card-present payment solutions.

This role combines hands-on terminal configuration and troubleshooting with implementation coordination, device ordering, and fulfillment. The specialist will work closely with internal teams, clients, payment processors, terminal manufacturers, and technology partners to ensure successful deployments and timely resolution of operational issues.

The successful candidate will bring practical EMV experience, take ownership of assigned activities, and develop a strong understanding of Paymentus-specific platforms and processes.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities

- Coordinate EMV implementations, terminal deployments, upgrades, and processor or gateway migrations from planning through production, working with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
- Provision and configure terminals, support firmware updates, and coordinate required encryption key provisioning or updates with authorized providers.
- Administer Estate Manager or similar terminal management platforms, including device setup, configuration management, and remote updates.
- Use Salesforce or a similar CRM platform to maintain implementation, device, procurement, and fulfillment requests.
- Coordinate device orders through procurement, fulfillment, shipment, and delivery; communicate status, timelines, and outstanding actions to stakeholders.
- Support user acceptance testing, pilot deployments, production rollouts, and validation of device functionality and payment transactions.
- Investigate production issues involving terminals, transactions, connectivity, and configurations using Kibana or similar log analysis tools; document findings and escalate unresolved issues.
- Learn Paymentus-specific schema configurations and vault settings, and perform approved changes under established procedures and access controls.
- Maintain implementation checklists, runbooks, device records, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Build shared technical knowledge with existing EMV specialists and provide coverage for implementations and production support.
- Use tools, scripts, and automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual activities.
- Manage assigned priorities and deadlines,



respond promptly to requests, and follow established deployment and change management procedures.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility.

Education and Experience

- Previous hands-on experience with EMV or card-present payment solutions using Ingenico, Verifone, PAX, or similar terminals.
- Working experience with Estate Manager or similar terminal management platforms.
- Understanding of payment transaction flows, processors, gateways, encryption, tokenization, and secure device handling.
- Practical experience with Kibana or similar log analysis tools; familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn unfamiliar systems and technologies.
- Explicit written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through, with the ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.

The successful candidate will learn Paymentus-specific platforms and processes and progressively assume independent responsibility for implementations and operational support. Expanded responsibilities will be based on performance, demonstrated technical capability, and business needs.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Physical Demands

This position requires sitting or standing at a computer desk for extended periods of time. In addition, the employee must regularly bend, reach, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.



Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
