Description
We are a 40+ year old family business currently recruiting an experienced conifer seedling Nursery Manager to assist with our new nursery operations
in 2026 our conifer sowing included 6M+ Larch, Douglas Fir, Cedar and Pine in 90,000 sq ft of brand current greenhouse space and 3 acres of outdoor growing compound.
The primary focus will be managing conifer seedlings, but this role will continue to expand to help manage a variety of crops on our 140 acres of land
Our operations are rapidly expanding and evolving with lots of room for career advancement including managing additional nursery sites as the primary grower/manager
There's also room for new experimentation and management of crops including apples, organic red russian garlic, cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon and lavender.

Responsibilities
Assist in growing high quality seedlings by maintaining the health and safety of the trees
All aspects of forest seedling production from soil mixing, sowing, weeding/pruning, and transplanting various species of seedling crops
Providing support for the seedling harvest including crop delivery to the sorting area and washing/sanitizing empty growing containers




Working on both manual and automated production lines in the sorting, wrapping, and packaging of trees for shipment
Maintaining a continuous focus on safety, injury prevention, and customer service in all aspects of production
Efficiently managing resources and labour team through daily work routines
Coordinating with the Ministry of Forestry and other clients for auditing and reporting

Experience/Qualifications
Must have 3+ years of hands-on experience in tree seedling production preferably as a Nursery/Production Manager or Lead Grower
Attention to detail with a positive attitude and a team player
Ability to work independently
Robust communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Ability to provide basic maintenance of facilities and equipment
