Vaco by Highspring seeks an Assistant Controller for a 3-month contract focused on financial reporting and month-end closure. This role is primarily in office in the Mississauga/Brampton area. As an Assistant Controller, you will drive month-end close and ensure accurate financial reporting.
You'll collaborate with the accounting team, manage AP, AR, and reconciliations while establishing stronger financial controls. Your expertise will be crucial for maintaining operational continuity and audit readiness. Key Responsibilities:
Manage the month-end close process and reporting
Supervise accounts payable and receivable
Lead the accounting team towards improved efficiency
Create documentation processes for financial protocols
Support external audits and compliance requirements Requirements:
Preferred CPA designation or equivalent
Experience in a similar accounting leadership role
Proficient in month-end reporting and finance management
