Engage with art and culture as a Gallery Assistant at the University of Alberta's North Campus in Edmonton. This term position focuses on supporting the Mactaggart Art Collection's exhibitions and events. In this role, you will report to the Manager of Museum Programs and Outreach, ensuring art pieces inform and enrich educational experiences.

As a versatile team member, you’ll help facilitate daily operations in the Kenneth and Sandra Wong Gallery and Gallery A, driving initiatives that showcase over 1,000 rare works. Your collaboration will play a key role in making museum activities accessible and enjoyable for all visitors. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations and upkeep of gallery spaces
Staff exhibitions during visitor hours




Aid in the installation and removal of exhibits
Arrange and support event preparations and bookings
Manage collections maintenance and organization Requirements:
Background in arts or museum settings preferred
Solid team collaboration and organizational skills
Friendly and approachable in public interactions
Ability to maintain gallery cleanliness and order
