Empower Simcoe is seeking a temporary Community Participation Support Worker in Orillia. Utilize a personal outcome-based approach to support individuals in achieving community engagement and integration. This six-month contract focuses on enhancing participation in recreational and work-related activities for those supported. The role requires commitment to adaptable schedule, including some weekends and public holidays. Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate community-based activities to develop life skills
Collaborate in individual goal planning sessions
Assist in fostering positive relationships and independence
Ensure professional conduct as a community role model
Support transitions from school to community involvement Requirements:
Developmental Service Worker diploma or equivalent
One year relevant experience in community support
Valid class 'G' driver’s license and transport
Familiarity with community resources and individual needs
