About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to provide strategic and operational leadership in the areas of cybersecurity and IT compliance. The CISO will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive security strategy to protect the company's assets, information, and infrastructure.

This role requires a deep understanding of regional, national, and international cybersecurity policies and trends, particularly in the context of the academic and research workplace. The successful candidate will also be at the forefront of addressing the security and governance challenges posed by the adoption of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.





Key responsibilities for the CISO include establishing and maintaining a robust security architecture and control framework, executing a explicit cybersecurity strategy, and setting standards in collaboration with various stakeholders. The role demands a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security issues, as well as the ability to lead investigations into potential threats and breaches.

The CISO will also be involved in senior leadership activities, such as providing expertise in the development of IT policies and procedures, and will be expected to champion security and risk management initiatives across the organization. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, qualified certifications, and a minimum of 10 years' experience in IT and information security, with a focus on higher education, are required.
