Position Overview: Valet Quick Lube at Valet Car Wash is looking for a Part Time Lube Shop Technician who has open availability to work at our busy Cambridge Location.

What you will be doing:

- Greeting customers with a friendly, caring, and professional greeting
- Communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and managers to achieve goals and succeed as a team
- Completing and participating in online and on-site training and mentoring programs
- Staying current with all on-going product and service training
- Promoting and providing customers information on services, products, and pricing
- Guiding vehicles safely into designated spots in the lube shop bays
- Servicing customer vehicles for oil changes, undercoating, preventative maintenance, fluid change/check services and tire services
- Completing vehicle assessments and making customer recommendations
- Following manufacturers’ guidelines when recommending services
- Following Valet Car Wash policies, health and safety protocols, procedures, and standards of operation
- Communicating with other team members, supervisors, and quality control specialists to ensure each vehicle meets company standards
- Ensuring all health, safety, cleaning, equipment, site maintenance, housekeeping, and work area organization standards are met
- Staying productive and checking in with site supervisors/managers and completing secondary site maintenance and seasonal duties as required
- Anticipating customer needs and going the extra mile to ensure a consistent, quality driven, best-in-class customer experience




- Working closely with the management team
- This job requires open availability to weekdays/weekends, open or closing shifts - are you available to work these shifts?
- Lube Technician experience: 2 years required
- Experience working with hand tools: 2 years required
- Valid driving licence required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and valuable at following written and verbal instructions
- Good arithmetic skills with the ability to calculate measurements
- Able to read product specifications and part numbers
- Able to keep clear and legible records and file documents
- Mechanically inclined
- Multi-tasking and good time management skills
- Proficient computer and data entry skills
- Punctual and reliable
- Outgoing and friendly
- Comfortable standing, bending, lifting, walking, and moving with a full range of motion for long periods of time
- Comfortable in noisy, hot, and cold conditions
- Values team work and learning new skills while staying organized and productive in a busy work environment
- Open availability required to work weekdays and weekends, day and afternoon shifts

Details:

- Job Type: Part-time
- Pay: Starting at $18.50 per hour, with potential for performance incentive
- Expected hours: 15 to 25 per week
- Ability to commute/relocate: Cambridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
