We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Student-at-Law (Articling Student) to join our legal team.
Responsibilities
Performing legal work and gaining practical legal experience under the supervision and direction of the Principal.
Assisting the lawyers with legal research, drafting, reviewing, and preparation of legal documents.
Meeting with and interviewing clients.
Assisting with the preparation and management of client files, correspondence, pleadings, applications, and other legal documents.
Performing such other duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be assigned by the Principal from time to time in connection with the Student-at-Law’s articles and career development.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from an accredited law school.
Admitted to the practice of law with the Law Society of Alberta.
Solid organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Ability to conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
Salary
Starting from $2,400 to $4,000 per month.
Job Type: Full time Pay: $2,400.00-$4,000.00 per month
