The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka seeks a Child Care Supply Assistant for a casual, as-needed position. This role is essential for fostering caring and secure environments for children.
You will ensure children's safety and well-being by providing personal care, engaging in play, and implementing the YMCA's Curriculum. Communication with families and creating inclusive spaces for children with special behaviors are central to this role. Flexibility in scheduling and adapting to various needs will enhance your effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver personal care and monitor medical conditions
• Supervise and engage up to 15 children daily
• Implement play-based learning activities
• Communicate continuously with families and staff
• Create an inclusive environment for all children
Requirements:
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old
• Current First Aid and CPR certification required within 90 days
• Completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check
• Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills
• Capability to lift 20 kg and work outdoors year-round
