The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting skilled with experience in construction or project-based environments who enjoys partnering with operational leaders and is naturally curious about the processes and drivers behind financial results.Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability ToPrepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliationsMaintain accurate balance sheet schedules and supporting working papersManage project setup and project cost trackingPerform project costing, cost reporting, and variance analysisComplete monthly inventory costing and inventory reconciliationsReconcile accounts receivable and monitor collections activityPerform accounts payable, credit card,
and GST reconciliationsMaintain the fixed asset register and calculate monthly depreciationPartner with operations and project teams to support informed business decisionsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and increased reporting efficienciesYour strengths include:3-6 years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to month-end close activitiesPrevious experience within a manufacturing, construction, or project-based environment is preferredExperience with project accounting, job costing, and inventory is an assetCPA designation or CPA-in-Progress is considered an asset but not requiredStrong ERP and Excel skills with the ability to manage large volumes of financial dataStrong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracyAn approachable, team-oriented attitude and excellent communication skills to work effectively across all areas of the businessA proactive mindset with a desire to grow into future leadership opportunities within the finance function
